PicTech Theme Options (Theme Settings)

Estimated reading: 3 minutes 243 views

The PicTech Options (or Theme Settings) panel allows you to customize global settings for your website’s header, footer, typography, colors, and more. This control panel allows you to easily adjust your theme’s look and functionality without coding knowledge. Below is an overview of each setting available in PicTech Options.

How to Access PicTech Options

  1. In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to the sidebar item and click PicTech Options.
  2. You’ll see a sidebar menu with various setting categories for the theme, including Header, Footer, Layout, Typography, and Colors.

Overview of PicTech Options

We didn’t use the default Header in the PicTech theme, so it is unnecessary. Instead, you will find multiple custom headers with excellent customizability.
  1. Header Settings
    • Header Image Logo: Toggle to enable or disable an image logo. If disabled, the theme will use the text logo instead.
    • Header Text Logo: Type in the text you want to display as your logo if the image logo is turned off.
    • Enable Header Button: Toggle to enable or disable the header button. This button can be used for a call-to-action (CTA) such as “Contact Us” or “Get a Quote.”
    • Header Button Text: Set the text that appears on the header button.
    • Header Button URL: Add a link for the header button. You can specify if it opens in a new tab by setting the target attribute.
  2. Preloader Settings
    • Enable or disable the preloader animation that shows before the page fully loads.
    • Customize the preloader icon or image.
    • You can enable or disable the “Scroll Up” feature, which functions like a “Back to Top” button. When you scroll to the bottom of your website, an icon will appear in the bottom right corner that you can click to return to the top of the webpage quickly.
  3. Typography Settings
    • Manage global typography settings, including font family, size, and line height for headings and body text.
  4. Layout Settings
    • Adjust the layout options, including page width, sidebar positions, enabling/disabling breadcrumbs, breadcrumb background image, blog custom title, blog page custom excerpt, show/hide metadata, archive layout customization, and 404-page customizations. These settings affect the overall structure of your site.
  5. Footer Settings
    • Enable or disable the default footer (In the PicTech Theme, we didn’t use the default footer, as it is unnecessary. Instead, you will find multiple custom footers that offer excellent customization options.).
    • Add custom text or copyright information for the footer area.
  6. Color Settings
    • Set the primary, heading, and paragraph colors for the theme.
    • These color settings will apply globally across the site.
  7. Export & Import
    • Export your current theme settings to a file for backup or transfer purposes.
    • Import settings from a previously saved file to restore or duplicate configurations across different websites that use the same theme (PicTech).

Important Notes

  • Global Settings: All settings made in the PicTech Options panel apply globally across the website, meaning they will affect every page and post unless overridden by specific page settings.
  • Save Changes: Always click the Save button after making changes. You can also use the Reset Section to reset only the current section or Reset All to restore default settings for all sections.

Use these settings to customize the PicTech theme to match your branding and design preferences easily. For advanced customization options, please read the complete documentation.
